5 Best Podcasts for your Road Trips

Afternoon gents, it’s Max from the Young Gentleman’s Guide here! With the absolute explosion of podcasts in the last few years, I’ve obviously bought into all of that hype in a big way. Most of the time, instead of listening to music in my car if I’m on my way to work, running errands, or anything in between, I’ve mostly been listening to podcasts. One of the best things about podcasts is that everyone can find any sort of podcast about any sort of subject, and everyone can always find one that can interest them. So in today’s article, I’ll be going over five (5) of my personal favorite podcasts that I’ve really enjoyed and I think will be great to listen to in the car, whether you’re out running errands, driving to work, or even going on a cross-country road trip. So without any further delay, let’s get started!

4 Catholic Saints that Every Gentleman Should Look up To

Afternoon gents, it’s Max from the Young Gentleman’s Guide here! Today’s article will more or less be a continuation of this one that I put out a while ago about four historical figures that every gentleman should look up to. Today, we’ll be looking at a very specific type of historical figure, those canonized as saints by the Catholic Church. These are individuals who demonstrated a strong and ardent faith in life through acts of service, so much so that they’ve started to be viewed as holy by the Catholic Church. These acts of service can range from worldwide peacekeeping efforts, to countrywide missionary campaigns, to honorable military service, to mass distribution of the Sacraments. These are individuals whose life examples continue to be followed by those practicing and even not practicing the Catholic faith today. So without further delay, let’s get started!

“Watching the Mountains Grow”

Afternoon gents, it’s Max from the Young Gentleman’s Guide here! To start off, I want to start off with a sincere apology for not having up any articles in he last few weeks. I have been incredibly busy with work, applying for teaching credential programs, and trying to maintain a healthy relationship with my family and girlfriend, plus I’ve also had a hard time trying to find any inspiration to write for the blog. Lo and behold, that inspiration has come back and I should be back to my weekly posting schedule. Now to the point of today’s article, “I’m just watching the mountains grow” is something that my grandpa would say whenever he would sit out in the backyard at his vacation house and just gaze at the Eastern Sierra Mountains in all their majesty. It’s a phrase that has puzzled my family for years, but thanks to some inspiration from my sister and my grandmother, I now understand the meaning of what that phrase says. Today, I hope to share that meaning and wisdom with you. So before this article turns into a full-length novel, let’s get started!
